2022 Three days in Romania

Brasov - Rupea - Vad - Brasov
A mix of spectacular scenery, unpredictable mountain weather, and some frustration with the MTB. One day brought everything from sunshine and warmth to showers, hail and thunderstorms, while another was simply perfect, with quiet roads, forest paths, charming villages and friendly people.

The biggest takeaway was that I don’t really enjoy riding an MTB itself, especially a basic one, and the muddy forest sections and steep climbs reinforced that. I enjoy what the MTB allows me to reach, but for touring I’d much rather bring my road bike or rent a road/gravel bike. Overall, fewer kilometers but plenty of beautiful places, photos and a lovely B&B ending.
